Every now and then a circumstance will enter the theatre of your life bearing an invitation to change. This shift in attitude, perspective, pattern, could seem tiny on the surface but ripple deeper into the fabric of your being.
Over time I have come to observe these fluxes of inevitability more closely… They’re not all easy, sometimes they’re wrapped up in a nasty conflict or bound to an untrusting eye.. perhaps it’s a change in work or a challenging time that bears an err of anticipation.
In any case, this itty bitty note is a gentle reminder that we are evolving beings formed to embrace the seasons that welcome personal growth and reflection for the soul. Very few situations require us to react with a counter position or defend. In fact life only asks us for our attention; undivided presence, and breath.
Hindsight has taught me that, sometimes, the gift of opportunity arrives in the strangest of packages.
“For nothing is fixed, forever and forever, it is not fixed; the earth is always shifting, the light is always changing, the sea does not cease to grind down rock. Generations do not cease to be born, and we are responsible to them because we are the only witnesses they have. The sea rises, the light fails, lovers cling to each other and children cling to us. The moment we cease to hold each other, the moment we break faith with one another, the sea engulfs us and the light goes out.”
